Duanne Cazalot has been teaching dance since 1972 specializing in Ballet, Tap and Jazz with a passion for nurturing and molding the younger students. She judges both Talent and Beauty Competitions on the Regional and National Level. She has appeared in several commercials and is in the Dance Teacher Hall of Fame. In 1999, Duanne became a member of DMA (Dance Masters of America) and LADM (Louisiana Association of Dance Masters), Internationally known organizations of Dance Educators certified by test to teach Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Acrobatics. Duanne was elected to serve as Representative for LADM in 2002 and since 2003 has served this prestigious organization as their Recording Secretary. In 2007 she was elected 2nd Vice President and continues to serve in that capacity. As an active member, Duanne has taught many State Title Winners and the 2007 Teen Miss Dance of America, MaQue Hollins, is her latest success story. Twenty five years ago, she added modeling classes to her curriculum in order to build confidence and self-esteem. Since 1994, the National Model of the Year and even Miss Teen Louisiana and Miss Teen USA, Shelley Hennig have been her models. Duanne prides herself on being a very organized and efficient business woman and along with her husband, Al, run three of the largest dance studios in Louisiana.
